Isolate, Purge & Cool Tower

Isolate, Purge & Cool Tower

Close gas valves, stop pumps, purge to safe gas levels, lock out all points and cool hot surfaces.

Follow confined-space entry requirements.
Open Manway & Release Frame

Open Manway & Release Frame

Remove the cover diagonally, then label and release bars, clamps and frame fasteners.

Store hardware by original position.
Lift Old Vanes & Inspect Grid

Lift Old Vanes & Inspect Grid

Hoist the bank evenly, inspect for corrosion or deformation, and clean and repair the support grid.

Avoid tilting the module and bending chevrons.
Install New Vane Assembly

Install New Vane Assembly

Lower the bank level, align it to gas flow, eliminate wall and section gaps, and fit the perimeter gasket.

Confirm correct gas-flow orientation.
Fasten, Seal & Commission

Fasten, Seal & Commission

Torque evenly, replace the manway gasket and test at low load while monitoring carryover and pressure drop.

Observe performance for 1–2 operating hours.
