How to Replace Filter Cartridge
Step-by-Step Guide · Liquid/Gas Filtration Maintenance · OEM-Spec Cartridges
Tools & Materials Required
Prepare all supplies before disassembly.
How to Replace Filter Cartridge
Follow each step carefully and observe site safety procedures.

Isolate, Depressurize & Drain
Close inlet and outlet valves, disconnect pumps, vent pressure fully and drain residual liquid or gas.
Lock valve handles against accidental flow.
Open Housing & Remove Cartridge
Loosen the bowl or flange slowly, then pull the spent cartridge straight from its support.
Open slowly in case residual pressure remains.
Clean & Sanitize Housing
Remove sediment, biofilm and scale; sanitize when required and inspect for corrosion or thread damage.
Rinse and dry all components before assembly.
Fit Seal & New Cartridge
Install a new lubricated seal and insert the cartridge without touching media, aligned to the flow direction.
Confirm micron rating, length and flow arrow.
Reassemble, Flush & Test
Tighten evenly, restore valves, flush at low flow and monitor differential pressure for 10 minutes.
A rapid pressure rise indicates poor installation or leakage.Safety Requirements
These measures are mandatory throughout the replacement process.
Zero Pressure Required
Never open a pressurized housing.
Chemical PPE
Wear compatible gloves and splash goggles.
Ventilate & Dispose Safely
Ventilate enclosures and dispose of contaminated cartridges under local rules.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Avoid these errors to prevent leakage, damage and premature failure.
Creates bypass and poor filtration.
Causes immediate startup leakage.
Contaminates new media and causes bypass or early blockage.
